National Board Certified Occupational Therapist (February 2025), Licensed Occupational Therapist in South Carolina (February 2025)

I recently graduated from Radford University Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia in December of 2024 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. I became licensed in the state of South Carolina and nationally board certified in February 2025. During my master’s program I found that I have a passion for using my creativity to create interventions and solve occupational problems for children and their families. I had multiple pediatric fieldwork placements in a school system, summer camp, and daycare providing psychosocial services for children in poverty that solidified my dedication of wanting to work with the pediatric population. During my time at Radford University Carilion, as a Graduate Assistant for the Department of Occupational Therapy where I gained exposure to high-tech therapy tools and analyzed academic research. I additionally worked as a substitute teacher for Special Education which allow me to learn how to efficiently manage challenging behaviors to support a child’s capacity to learn. I received multiple scholarships during my master’s program including Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship, Highlander Works Grant Recipient, and Dean’s list recipient due to maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout my studies.
