Hannah Spiess

Master of Science

My name is Hannah Spiess, and I graduated this May with a Master of Science degree from Gannon University. I wanted to express my interest in an open occupational therapist position at your institution as I will be taking my NBCOT exam at the end of June. This opportunity would be amazing due to the experience it offers in a field I am thoroughly interested in working. I believe my degree and previous work experience aligns with the qualities needed for your team.
My level II fieldwork experience at the Indian Creek School District in Wintersville, OH, allowed me to incorporate my therapeutic skills in team communication, school-based evaluations, and creating appropriate treatment plans for children with intellectual disabilities. Since the beginning of 2021, I worked at various UPMC Centers for Rehab Service locations in Erie, PA, as a rehab aide where these skills were highlighted as well. The position at this job allowed me to establish a routine for myself as I managed school and work responsibilities which reflects my ability to balance my workload.
Overall, I think this position would be a great opportunity for me to showcase my therapeutic skills personally and professionally while still learning as a new graduate with your team. I am confident that my previous jobs and fieldwork experience is a positive reflection of my professional growth. Lastly, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to read over my documents, and please feel free to contact me at spiesshannah@gmail.com or 740-457-7462 for any questions.
